Oldham recorded a 32-2 win over North Wales Crusaders at Wrexham’s Queensway Stadium after narrowly leading 8-2 at half time.
An early penalty conversion for the Welsh side gave them a 2-0 advantage but unconverted tries from Zack McComb and Joe Martin handed Roughyeds a slender half-time lead.
Scott Naylor described his side’s first-half performance as poor but after a dressing room debrief during the interval his side went on to score 22 second-half points without reply as the Roughyeds took control of the game.
Oldham try scorers were: McComb, Martin(2), Bridge(2), Joy. Paul Crook was successful with three of his six goal-kick attempts.
