WE are delighted to announce the winner of the competition in which fans were invited to take action shots on their mobile phones at the home game against West Wales Raiders on July 8.
There was a healthy response from many fans and some of the best entries were used in the 24-page, full-colour match magazine, Roughyed Review, which was on sale at the match against North Wales Crusaders on July 22.
The winning entry was selected by members of the club’s media team, Roger Halstead, Dave Murgatroyd and Dave Naylor plus Anne Kearns, who is running the office during chairman Chris Hamilton’s absence on sick leave after major heart surgery.
The winning picture was of Ben West crossing the line and preparing to score one of our record-breaking 18 tries in a 102-6 win.
It was submitted by 11-year-old Joe Snape, a junior season-ticket holder, whose prize will take him into the hospitality suite with two adults at the home game against Coventry Bears on September 2.
He will be away on holiday when we play Whitehaven at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday, August 12, so his big day will be at the Coventry game when he will be photographed with Roary on the pitch at half-time.
