OLDHAM fans are urged to go on the Our League app and vote for their very own Paul Crook, whose late try against Whitehaven in the 1895 Cup last Sunday was judged to be one of the five tries of the week.
Ritchie Hawkyard, man of the match, put in a little kick which Danny Langtree gathered at top speed to send ‘Crookie’ over behind the posts with an inside pass.
It was the seventh of our eight tries in a 48-12 win which produced delightful, open rugby and earned us another home tie against Doncaster in the last 16 on a date still to be announced.
The other four tries chosen this week were by Dane Chisholm for Featherstone at Rochdale; Ryan Shaw for Hull KR and Regan Grace for St Helens in the same Betfred Super League game; and Olivia Paddy of Stanningley in the women’s game.
To have a chance of winning two tickets for the double header at Wembley on Saturday, August 24 go to the Our League app and cast your vote.
Do it quickly though because entries have to be in by Friday at the latest.
