They’ve only been on sale for 48 hours or so but it’s reported from HQ that our new tee shirts in support of the NHS and other key workers are going well and are proving popular well beyond Oldham and the surrounding areas.
Orders have already come in from places like Wakefield, Walsall and Sunderland.
Half of the profits from the sale of these ‘NHS’ shirts will go to local NHS charities so by buying you are not only helping Roughyeds; you are also helping the NHS and all those wonderful key workers whose job on the front line during the Coronavirus pandemic has saved thousands of very sick people, including our very own Brendan Sheridan.
“We all owe a great debt to the doctors, nurses and other key workers who have put their own lives on the line to help everybody else and this is one way we can show our appreciation,”
said Oldham RLFC chairman Chris Hamilton, who is himself an NHS volunteer worker.
You have until next Sunday night, June 28, to put in your orders for the tee-shirt via the Roughyeds website. They are priced at £29 and come in all sizes (see website).
