ED Smith is a second Oldham forward waiting for knee surgery.
“He’s in need of relatively minor surgery, but the Covid-19 virus is holding things up,”
said Roughyeds coach Matt Diskin.
Prop Jode Sheriffe is also on a long waiting list, as he has been since damaging a knee during pre-season training last autumn.
“It would have been done and dusted by now had it not been for the current situation,”
added Matt, who said every other member of the squad was fit and well and doing the best they could individually at home to keep fully fit.
He added:
Beyond that there isn’t anything else to report because we don’t know yet what’s going to be happening going forward. We are waiting for guidance from above.”
