More prizes, plus return of the jackpot, in our Club Cash lottery

FOR all members of our Club Cash lottery scheme, and for potential new members, we are delighted to confirm that, as from this week’s draw (Wednesday, July 14, 2021), the £500-a-week jackpot is back as well as an extra £50 prize and an extra £25 prize.

There are now two of those, instead of one, each week but the big news is the return of the jackpot which rolls over on any week it isn’t won, up to a maximum of £10,000.

A prize of £6,500, that had accumulated at the time of the jackpot’s suspension, has already been won this week by one lucky punter. The jackpot prize reverts to £500 next week, but if it isn’t won it goes up and up each week until it is won.

In other words, and for an outlay of only £1 a week, somebody somewhere could win as much as £10,000.

And all the time you are making a valuable and hugely important financial contribution to Roughyeds at a time when, like all business operations, we are battling hard against Covid, lockdowns and all the restrictions that are placed upon us.

You will also have read that there is some uncertainty about central funding going forward so that’s another reason why lottery income is so vital to us at this time.

From Monday (July 19) we’ll be getting back to something approaching the new ’normality’ and whatever your thoughts on that, what better time for everyone connected to the club to do all they can to help with getting income from Club Cash back to where it was before the pandemic.

High profile Brian McDermott’s arrival on the playing side and the return of the £500-a-week rollover jackpot on the admin side underscore the view that now is the best time to become a Club Cash member if you are not one already.

Our finances have taken a massive hit in the past two years.

Whether collectors will be back on door-to-door collections in the next few weeks will be largely down to them, but we hope members who get a knock on the door will pick up where they left off as we start to get back to where we were before the pandemic caused us to lose 50 per cent of our lottery income.

Many of our regular punters who would normally pay a collector have answered our calls for help by finding other ways to pay.

To those people, the club is very grateful and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them once again for their loyal and committed support.

The lottery is potentially one of our biggest fund-raisers and for as little as £1 a week – more if you wish – you can help the club financially and at the same time have chances each week to win £1,000, £100, £50 x 2, £25 x 2, the £500-a-week rollover jackpot and one of ten £10 consolation prizes.

You can join, start up again or extend your payments by contacting the club on 07904 898177 or by email to: enquiries@roughyeds.co.uk

For more information about the lottery and for the “great opportunities” presented by our partnership with the National Youth and Community Development Asssociation (NYCDA) go to our Club Cash page.

There, you will find all the Club Cash results and a detailed statement about getting back to normal with the help of our not-for-profit partners.

All proceeds from the partnership will continue to support the club and help us to meet the aims of our Club Cash activities, particularly in regard to its aims and objectives to be an active stakeholder in the local community.
