Oldham RLFC

THE Warrington-based Barton Cleaning and Maintenance Services, already main sponsors of YEDS, our new Supporters Group, have extended their Oldham RLFC backing by also sponsoring hooker Ryan Wright for the 2022 Betfred League One season.

We are delighted to announce that all 26 players in the Roughyeds’ squad are now sponsored individually.

Brendan Walsh, operations manager of Barton Cleaning Services, said:

“We have enjoyed our short time with both Oldham RLFC and the official YEDS Supporters Group.

“Our business is growing rapidly in Oldham and we would like to assist the club further. We are very pleased to now be the official sponsor for Ryan Wright and we look forward to getting to a match this season and supporting Ryan.”

Six fans formed a consortium to sponsor club captain Martyn Ridyard. They wished to be known only by their first names — Dave, Mark, Julie, Ricky, Gerry and Kev.

Aged 30, Ryan Wright is one of our more experienced players. He has played for several Yorkshire clubs and he works full time at Leeds Beckett University, mainly in PE and sport generally.

With that sort of background, he has a particular interest in helping to develop and to pass on his experience to younger players.
