WHEN we reported in mid-January, with deep sorrow, the death of Vera Hough, one of our longest-serving and most loyal supporters, we said we would bring you funeral details when available.
In fact, the funeral service will be private (family only) at a crematorium in Stockport.
However, there will be a celebration of Vera’s life — she was 90 — at Uppermill Conservative Club on Wednesday, February 16, from noon onwards.
All are welcome. but anyone who is going is asked to message Vera’s daughter Valerie on 07711-435830 so she has an idea of numbers for catering purposes.
No flowers please, but donations to Tommy’s Charity will be welcomed on the day.
Vera, a real character in her own right, was a true and dedicated Roughyed, the club she supported avidly all her life.
