SAMUEL Doyle, who works for the club as a member of our backroom team, got the club another good name on Sunday by assisting a disabled Cornwall fan after our win in Penryn.
It was a typical act of kindness by Sam, who is proud of his Royton roots and proud to be associated with his home-town Roughyeds.
Said coach Stu Littler:
“Sam does everything we ask of him – and more. He’s an Oldham lad and proud of it and he’ll do anything he can for the Roughyeds.”

DAVE Murgatroyd, our official club photographer and a fantastic voluntary worker for the club, is an avid collector of Oldham RLFC memorabilia, but imagine even his surprise when he saw this pair of Roughyeds club cufflinks up for auction in Australia on Ebay.

AS the December 31 season-ticket deadline draws ever closer, it is interesting to take a look at what the club has done so far in its firm bid to provide a 2023 squad with a realistic and reasonable chance of achieving promotion to the Betfred Championship and in the belief that supporters can look forward to a successful season of crowd-pleasing, value-for-money entertainment.

FANS are reminded that season-ticket sales at these discounted prices close on December 31. The late withdrawal of West Wales Raiders, though desperately sad, put a spanner in the works in relation to our season-ticket sales, but the club has confirmed that season-ticket holders will NOT be out of pocket because of one home game fewer — nine instead of ten.December 26, 2022
