Great news from Hornets

ROCHDALE Hornets, our Betfred League One play-off opponents at the Crown Oil Arena on Sunday (1pm kick-off). have confirmed that the capacity for the big game has been increased from 954 to 1,600.

Initially, only half the main stand was going to be open, but now the full main stand will be available.

That’s great news for both clubs and for the supporters of both clubs.

Said Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton:

“We hope as many of our fans as possible will be there to cheer on the boys, who produced a terrific performance to beat Hunslet and are now eagerly looking forward to a third derby clash this year.

“This latest news about the capacity is fantastic and we hope to see a full stand because that will mean we have the sort of backing that would be appropriate for a game like this.”

Just to remind everyone, it’s £16 for adults, £14 for concessions, £5 for students and under-16s go free.

Its a split gate, so the attendance affects both clubs, but the main focus on the size of the crowd for us at Roughyeds is to get the support the lads deserve so they can feel at home on an away ground.

Please get there and wear your Roughyeds colours with pride.

A reminder that there are no cash turnstiles at the Crown Oil Arena so you can either buy tickets online or buy at the ticket office on the day and queue again at the turnstiles.

Our advice is still to buy online although, for obvious reasons, the chances of the ticket office running out of seats is reduced following the great news that the whole of the main stand will be open.
