Jordan Paga’s four tries against London Skolars have put Oldham’s classy utility back in the early list of leading Betfred League 1 try scorers, as released by the RFL.
The young, former Hunslet back, who hails from the Huddersfield area and is a close friend of Kian Morgan, is joint third in the list, two behind joint leaders Owen Restall (Dewsbury Rams and former Oldham full-back) and Workington Town’s Sean Sabutey.
Rochdale Hornets will be aiming to extend their league wins against the old enemy to five of their last six when the derby rivals next meet at the Vestacare Stadium on Good Friday evening, kick-off 7.30pm.
The kick-off has been put back to evening from afternoon to avoid a clash with Oldham Athletic’s National League derby weith Altrincham.
The Law Cup apart, Oldham are due a win against the men in red, white and blue, who haven’t lost a league game against Roughyeds in nearly eight years.
Patrick Ah Van, meanwhile, needs two tries to reach the career milestone of 150.
He’s scored one for Oldham so far, v London Skolars, but he has also registered 22 for North Wales Crusaders, 95 for Widnes Vikings, 12 for Bradford Bulls, 16 for New Zealand Warriors and two for Samoa.
