THE Oldham board wishes to remind fans about the fans’ forum, Q and A and meet-the-directors session which is at the Oldham Event Centre, Boundary Park tomorrow (Tuesday) night, starting at 7.30pm.
Anyone there, will hear more about the club’s vision and its plans for the current season and beyond. The public is urged to turn up in numbers because this is YOUR chance to have your say and to put your questions and observations to the directors and/or the coaching staff.
The directors can’t do more than put themselves in the hot-seat and invite YOUR questions and listen to any observations or concerns you might have. They wish to re-iterate that this is YOUR club, that they are fans, like you, and that they wish to be cross-examined.
The intention is to make it mainly YOUR night with much of it freed-up for Q and A.
Simon Winnard, the director whose special responsibility is engagement with fans, said:
“Supporters are invited to come along, meet with and pose questions to the directors and coaches. We are committed to engaging transparently with our supporters and working together to drive our club forward. Oldham RLFC belong to us all and this will be a great opportunity for us to get together and to discuss all things Oldham Rugby.
“It’s also an opportunity for supporters to tell us a thing or two about what they think.”
The board says it can appreciate that people can’t be in two places at once and that some fans will not be able to turn up because of other commitments. However, it urges as many people as possible to attend and points out that attendance will give them a rough idea of the current interest levels in all that has happened at the club over the course of the last few weeks.
Furthermore, the Event Centre is an ideal venue with its ease of access off Broadway, its free and plentiful parking and its modern, state of the art facilities. We hope you can get there.
