THERE will be discounted entry for fathers and veterans for our huge clash against Doncaster this weekend to celebrate both Fathers Day and Armed Forces Week.
The board have slashed admission prices to just £10 for all military personnel, both past and present, as well as anybody who brings their father to the game to the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday, 3pm kick off.
In attendance, for the 3rd v 2nd clash, will be the Oldham Scottish Pipe band who will be playing at half-time.
Before kick off there will be a minute’s silence and Major Eddy Harker will present the match ball, as the club marks Armed Forces Week.
The club is also offering £10 admission to the parents of any child who wears a rugby shirt of any kind for Sunday’s game.
It promises to be an action-packed game with both sides battling it out to chase down Dewsbury Rams who have yet to lose a game.
The two previous meetings this year have already been box office with Doncaster winning 26-22 and 28-26 – both of which Roughyeds felt they should have won.
Since the last Doncaster game, Stuart Littler has bolstered his pack with the likes of Pat Moran and Samy Kibula adding not only a steeliness to the side but energy to the team, too.
Moran, who joined on a deal lasting until the end of the season, is looking to get one over on the Dons:
“It’s a massive game because they did us over – I was in France at the time, but I saw the result – so they’ve got one up on us, and we want to redeem ourselves and get that win back against them.
“We know it’s going to be a tough challenge playing them, but we’re preparing really well.”
Pay on the day is available, but the club would like to remind fans that the turnstiles are cash only, with card payments not accepted.
