Play-off home games also at BP

OLDHAM RLFC is thrilled to announce that any home play-off games will be played at Boundary Park as well as next Wednesday’s (August 23) rearranged home league game against Workington Town.

”This is yet another example of our ever-growing relationship with Athletic, whose help and cooperation in all of this is really appreciated,"

said managing director and interim head coach Mike Ford.

He added:

”It’s now been confirmed. Any home games we have in the play-offs will be at Boundary Park. It all depends on where we finish in the league, but I expect we’ll have at least one game at home, possibly two."

Details will be announced when the play-off games are known.

In the meantime, Roughyeds have three regular-season games to play — Rochdale away on Sunday (3pm), Workington at Boundary Park next Wednesday (7.30pm) and Midlands Hurricanes at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday week, August 27 (3pm).

That’s three games in eight days, all within easy reach for fans and the last two at home.

New signing Jamie Ellis, who pulled a hamstring in training and is still waiting for his Oldham debut, will not be risked at Rochdale, but the suspended Jordan Paga will be available for selection for the Workington game, having missed North Wales at home, Hunslet (away), Cornwall (away) and Rochdale (away) this Sunday.
