Pathway youngsters to wear Oldham replicas

OLDHAM’S playing kit for the 2024 season has arrived and the plan is for Mike Ford to hand each player his red-and-white hooped jersey when the Pathway programme for under-15s and under-16s starts at Melrose this morning (Sat) with games against Leigh.

Joe Warburton, who is leading the scheme on Oldham’s behalf, said:

“The Pathway lads will be the first to wear the new kit and we hope it inspires them as much as it inspires us.”

Mike Ford, Oldham’s managing director added:

“I’ll be the proudest man in Oldham when the team runs out in Oldham playing kit.”

On Sunday, also at Melrose, the Oldham Amateur League will stage two of its Junior Finals, each to be sponsored by Rugby Oldham.

At 10am, Limehurst Lions will play Mayfield (under-13s) and at noon Waterhead will play Saddleworth Rangers in the under-12s final. All are welcome to watch. Under-18s go free and admission for everyone else is £2.

Finally, don’t forget the Oldham RLFC fans’ forum on Tuesday night at Oldham Athletic. It kicks off at 8pm, admission is FREE and ample car parking is available if you access Boundary Park via Broadway. Sean Long will be there to answer any questions, as will Bill Quinn, Mike Ford, the other directors, Brendan Sheridan, Jordan Turner and Joe Wardle.
