Long announces 21-man squad vs Barrow

MO Agoro and Ted Chapelhow are both back fit and named in Sean Long’s 21-man squad which will travel to Barrow this Saturday, 12:30pm kick off.

Agoro and Chapelhow both missed Sunday’s draw with London due to concussions suffered in the Halifax victory a week earlier – but are now back for our Challenge Cup third round tie.

Maintaining their spot in the squad, after impressing against Super League opposition last week, are player such as Bailey Aldridge and Jordan Paga.

Jack Johnson, who came off the bench last week in the second half, is also named in Long’s squad.

The former Waterhead amateur – should he be selected in the matchday squad – could make his 100th career appearance.

Still unavailable for selection are Brad Gallagher, Jumah Sambou and Mackenzie Turner whose injuries are well documented.

Saturday’s game will be the first time the two sides have met in a competitive game since Oldham emerged 20-6 victors, also in the Challenge Cup, back in 2021.

Tickets, for the tie at Craven Park, are priced at £12 for adults with juniors free and they can be purchased here.

The Yeds Supporters Group are offering £5 return coach travel to the game – thanks to the generosity of chairman Bill Quinn in subsidising the fees.

For those unable to get to Barrow, the tie will be broadcast live on the BBC via the BBC Sport website and iPlayer.

Squad in full: Agoro, Aldridge, Astley, J.Chapelhow, T.Chapelhow, Craven, Ellis, Farnworth, Jack Johnson, Josh Johnson, Kopczak, Lawton, Moran, Morgan O’Keefe, Paga, Rawsthorne, Taylor, J.Turner, Wardle, Wildie.
