Long announces squad for Midlands trip

WINGER Mo Agoro is included in Sean Long’s 21-man squad which will travel to the Alexander Stadium this Saturday.

Having recovered from an ankle injury suffered in the Easter Sunday 54-6 win over Rochdale, Mo is back in contention for a starting spot against Midlands Hurricanes.

If selected for the game in Birmingham this weekend, Agoro will be hoping to replicate the early season form which saw him score four in six games, prior to injury.

Joining the 31-year-old in the squad are Jamie Ellis and Matty Wildie, who were both rested for the game against Cornwall a fortnight ago.

Making way for Agoro, Ellis and Wildie are Bailey Aldridge, Jack Johnson and Kieran Tyrer who are not selected this week.

Roughyeds go into the game in hot form having won four from four and averaging over 50 points scored a game.

Sean Long’s men will be out to right the wrongs of last August when Oldham fell to an 18-10 loss to the Hurricanes, which was their first victory over the club in 16 previous meetings.

Advance tickets for the 2pm kick off are £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and free for under-16s, with an extra £2 charge attached to all purchases on the gate.

Squad in full: Agoro, Astley, J.Chapelhow, T.Chapelhow, Craven, Ellis, Farnworth, Gallagher, Hirst, Josh Johnson, Kopczak, Laulu-Togaga’e, Lawton, Morgan, Paga, Taylor, J.Turner, M.Turner, C.Tyrer, Wardle, Wildie.
