ORSA - The Oldham Roughyeds Supporters Association
The organisation has been successfully run by a small group of very committed fans, for a number of years. Unfortunately, a ‘perfect storm’ of circumstances has now taken its toll and a decision has been made, to begin the winding down of the organisation.
2021 SEASON
Despite the difficulties of the Covid-19 pandemic, ORSA funds accumulated prior to the season, enabled us to support the club, coaching and playing staff in the following ways:
- funding of some of the squad’s nutritional requirements;
- making a donation to the club, to assist with the initial costs of essential equipment, made necessary under the Covd-19 protocol requirements;
- funding items of new equipment for the squad: 12 tackle shields, water bottles/carriers and various other items;
- subscribing to the club lottery
2022 SEASON
ORSA will be gradually wound down over the next few months, but not before we have taken our part in supporting the forthcoming season, in a meaningful way. We will be:
- continuing our funding of some of the squad’s nutritional requirements;
- sponsoring 2 of the young players, who have committed to the Roughyeds squad for the new season;
- using any remaining funds to assist the club in a positive way.
We thank everyone who has contributed to ORSA since it was established as the official, but independent supporters’ organisation in 2010, with memberships, donations, support of fund-raising events and more recently, with donations via the Easyfundraising organisation.
