Danny's fight for fitness

NEW-BOY Danny Grimshaw will be given a fitness test at training tomorrow ahead of Oldham RL Club’s KP Championship opener against London Broncos

One of four new signings, the 29-year-old former York and Hunslet half-back has been in fine fettle in the pre-season games, but he is doubtful with a lower-leg injury for Sunday’s visit of the Broncos to Bower Fold, Stalybridge (3pm).
“He hasn’t trained this week, but we’ll take another look at him tomorrow and make a decision then,” said coach Scott Naylor.
With no dual-registration involvement and Craig Briscoe (knee) already ruled out, Naylor will pick from 20.
Oldham (from) Lepori, Clay, Ashton, Ford, Holmes, Chisholm, Palfrey, Roper, Grimshaw, Joy, Owen, Spencer, Crowley, Langtree, Thompson, Hughes, Files, Ward. Gee, Hope.
Broncos (from): Walker, Williams, Stapleton, Naiqama, Macani, Barthau, Keyes, Thackray, Ackers, Battye, Harrison, Foster, Davies, Bussey, Garside, Ioane, Leatherbarrow, Hellewell.
The BBC will have a camera crew and a presenter at the game for a feature on clubs outside Super League, which will go out next week on ‘Look North-West.’
Admission: standing, adults £15, concessions £12, under-16s £3; sitting, adults £17, concessions, £14, under-16s £5.
