Fans are advised that, despite the postponement of todays football match at Stalybridge Celtic, the Roughyeds first match in the Championship against London Broncos is expected to go ahead.

With the forecast showing a respite in the next 24 hours we are confident having spoken with SCFC officials that the match will not be affected.

The pitch at Bower Fold has excellent drainage and officials are confident that there will be no problems. There will be no further details today (Saturday) but any changes or further information will be posted on the clubs Official Facebook and Twitter accounts together with the clubs telephone 07904 898177.

The social club at Bower Fold will be open from 2-6pm on match day. Turnstiles will open from 2pm. Stewards will be on hand to assist with information at this first game. Stewards will be required, following the terrorist attack at the Stade De France late last year, to undertake random bag searches. Spectators are asked not be bring bags unless necessary and to be understanding of the reasons for any searches.

Fans will be able to buy alcohol for consumption inside the ground – football restrictions WILL NOT apply. There will be a minimum of 2 catering outlets open – located at either end of the main stand.

Man of the Match and Magic Moment presentations will take place in the social club after the game as normal.

Fans are asked to arrive early for tomorrows game given that it is a new venue.
