SWINTON Lions, who have been nomads this season because their plans to play at Sedgley Park broke down, have confirmed that their KP Championship game with Oldham on Easter Monday will be staged at the home of Sale RU Club, Heywood Road, Sale.
The game will kick-off at 3pm, confirmation of this having been received by Oldham only last night.
It will be the first of three, and maybe four, Championship clashes between last year’s League One promotion winners Oldham and Swinton, the results of which will go a long way to determining final places at the lower end of the Championship table.
Before that, Halifax — and their former Oldham duo of Miles Greenwood and Ben Heaton — come to Bower Fold on Good Friday (3pm) when Roughyeds expect to attract their biggest gate for years.
Several Roughyeds players will be assessed and treated tonight for injuries received in the defeat at Workington.
They will be led by captain Lewis Palfrey and back-row forward Danny Langtree, who both limped out of the Derwent Park game with dead legs a few minutes before the end,
Roughyeds entertain Cumbrian amateurs Kells at Bower Fold on Sunday (3pm) in the fourth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup.
Season tickets are not valid at cup-ties in which receipts are shared between both clubs after the deduction of match expenses.
ORSA hospitality at £25, including pre-match buffet, half-time tea or coffee, stand seat and pre and post-match interviews, can be booked with John McAndrew on 07980129541 or Paul Hulbert on 07534329674.
