ORSA Quiz Night

FANS who want to actively support Oldham Rugby League Club will be interested to know that the Oldham Roughyeds Supporters Association (ORSA) is to stage a Family Fun and Quiz Night this Friday, April 29, at the Higginshaw ARLFC, otherwise known as St Stephen’s Social Club.

It starts at 8pm and admission is £1 per person. Prizes can be won and there’s a jackpot prize of £160 plus raffle. Sandwiches will be available and all are welcome.

For further details contact Sheila on 01706 844810 or John on 0161 633 1791 or just turn up on the night and you will be made very welcome by friends who, like you, want to actively support the club and the team.

ORSA works hard to support the players and coaching staff with various forms of sponsorship or by the provision of equipment and other items which are essential to them.

The challenges in the Championship this season are massive and with those challenges in mind ORSA hopes to extend its membership and thus be in a position to increase its support.

Our funds are achieved by annual memberships; match-day fund-raising; and various events such as this one on Friday night. Every penny raised is used to benefit the Roughyeds squad, which faces a huge, but exciting, challenge over the next three weeks with home games at Bower Fold, Stalybridge on successive weekends against Featherstone Rovers this Sunday (May 1, 3pm); against Warrington Wolves in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup on Saturday, May 7 (3pm); and against Leigh Centurions on Sunday, May 15 (3pm).

These are exciting times for our club which hit the headlines with that great win against Hull KR of Super League in the last round of the Cup.

You can join ORSA for an annual fee of £10 (Only £7.50 for 60s + or £5 for 16s and under) or show your support by coming along to events like the one we are staging on Friday. Hope to see you there.
