OLDHAM fans heading for Whitebank between 6pm and 7pm tonight to buy cup-tie tickets for the big clash with Super League leaders Warrington Wolves at Bower Fold on Saturday (3pm), or to be photographed with the famous Challenge Cup trophy, will have the opportunity tonight to chat with three of their cup heroes and stars of the Hull KR triumph —- Phil Joy, Gareth Owen and Michael Ward.
They will be at Whitebank to meet and greet supporters, who are being strongly advised to buy tickets in advance to avoid pre-match congestion. Fans can also purchase Bower Fold car park tickets to guarantee a spot.
It’s impossible to guess the size of Saturday’s attendance but indications suggest it will be a good ‘un and there’s nothing like having your ticket in advance and then finding it relatively easy to get into the ground.
Tickets will also be on sale at Whitebank from 9.30am up to 3pm today (Wednesday); from 9.30am to 1.30pm tomorrow; and from 9.30am to 4pm on Friday.
Also tonight, at 7pm, the club’s summer Touch Rugby sessions begin. All you have to do to play is turn up in appropriate gear and footwear. It’s only £3 a session; it’s good fun; and it’s a great way to keep fit and burn off those extra calories.
