Bulls to blood youngsters

JAMES Bentley, under-19s academy loose-forward, and Joe Keys, a 20-year-old half-back, will make their Bradford Bulls debuts against Oldham at The Provident Stadium on Sunday (3pm kick-off).

Keys, who joined the Bulls in June from London Broncos, was quoted thus on the Bulls’ official website: “Oldham are a tough team with a big set of forwards. They compete very well.

“We will have to match them and then hopefully wear them down.”

Bentley will make his debut off the bench, but Keys is set to start as half-back partner to Dane Chisholm.

Bulls squad: Clark, Ryan, O’Brien, Addy, Bates, Keys, Kavanagh, Crossley, Mellor, Olbison, Welham, Sidlow, Lumb, Pitts, Charnock, Lauaki, Chisholm, Moss, Williams.

Said Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton: “It will be a big ask for us but with five wins in our last seven games we are one of the form teams of the division. We are going there to give it our best shot and to see what happens.”
