Kingstone Press Championship Shield Round 3 Preview

Bradford Bulls v Oldham (3.00, Sunday, the Provident Stadium)

Bradford Bulls beat Halifax at home 44-22. Coach Rohan Smith said: “I expect a team to come and enjoy their time at the Provident Stadium and give us a hard time and really come and spoil the party.
“We are really chasing a quality performance and both of our last two matches have had a lot of quality to them, but they’ve also had too many lapses. So we are looking to focus on the process that will lead us to a quality performance.”

Oldham won 30-8 at Swinton Lions. Coach Scott Naylor said: “It was important win coming off the Workington game. It was nice for things to go our way and for us to get off to two winning starts, which hopefully puts us in a strong position.

“Bradford are at the top of our mini-league and they played well against Halifax last week. We went there a couple of weeks ago and were OK in the first half but didn’t perform that well in the second half. But we go there on the back of two wins and as always, we’ve just got to go there and have a go.”
