Club's Appreciation of fans reflected in 2017 prices

AS a thank-you to fans for helping them to defy all odds in the KP Championship, Oldham RLFC have announced that 2017 match-day prices will stay the same.

And on a pro-rata basis, given that unlike last year they include the Summer Bash derby clash with Rochdale Hornets at Blackpool on May 27, season tickets will be marginally CHEAPER.

In another first, fans buying season-tickets can also buy a car park pass (£35) for use at all league games at Bower Fold — a guaranteed 14 and maybe 15.

“In relatively difficult economic times fans want value for money and ours certainly deserve nothing less,” said Roughyeds chairman Chris Hamilton.

“We are building a squad that we hope will be capable of competing higher up the Championship than where we finished last time.

“Despite that investment, we’ve taken a conscious decision to hold prices because our diehard fans gave us magnificent support last year and this is one way we can show our appreciation in real terms.

“By purchasing season tickets, fans will not only get a minimum of two games free, but they will also be helping the club during the close season when income streams are very limited.”

Standing: adults £15; concessions £12; under-16s £3; Seats: adults £17; concessions £14; under-16s, £5.

Standing: adults £190; concessions £154; under-16s £25; Seats: adults, £210; concessions £178; under-16s, £35.

Concessionary prices cover over-65s and students aged 18 or under who are in full-time education and have valid students ID.

There are at least 15 games covered by season tickets; 11 in the regular season, Summer Bash and a minimum of three Championship Shield games, perhaps four depending on where Roughyeds finish in the table after the 23 regular rounds.

The decision to include Summer Bash — a one-day ticket for the Saturday when the Oldham-Rochdale derby is one of only FOUR games on offer —- is in keeping with a policy adopted this year by several clubs.

These season-ticket prices are valid until 5pm on December 23 and can be purchased by cash or cheque at the club’s Whitebank office between 9.30am and 1.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Fridays.

Cheques can also be sent by post to Oldham RLFC, Whitebank Stadium, Whitebank Road, Oldham OL8 3JH (phone 07904898177).).
