Summer Bash 2017

OLDHAM RLFC are pleased to announce that we will play our neighbours Rochdale Hornets at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool on Saturday, May 27 (2.30pm kick-off) as part of Summer Bash 2017.

Six Kingstone Press Championship matches will be staged over the weekend — three on May 27 and three on Sunday, May 28 — and our derby clash will be the first of the six, following the League 1 cup final, which will kick-off at noon.

Said Oldham chairman Chris Hamilton:

“It was great to be part of Summer Bash for the first time last season and we are eagerly looking forward to the 2017 weekend.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase our club and the Kingstone Press Championship as a whole in front of a big TV audience. It’s another bonus to be the first on of the six Championship games because it gives us an opportunity to set the standards for the weekend, as it were, with what promises to be a highly-exciting local derby.

“That alone will add lots of fervour to the occasion and will make the game all the more competitive and compelling. It will be eagerly anticipated by everyone, not least supporters of both clubs.”
