How Scott saw it . . .

This is what Scott Naylor said after the 8-6 defeat at Featherstone:

“I am very proud of the boys. Featherstone away is extremely difficult, but we had guts, heart and the right attitude — it was all there in abundance.

If we had been a little bit more patient near their line we might have scored more points but a penalty count of two-to-one in their favour made a big difference.

I can’t understand why we conceded so many more penalties than Featherstone (11-5 to be precise), so it’s up to me now to ask questions of the RFL and to see what they have to say.

We deserved at least a draw, but I couldn’t have asked for any more from the lads

The overall performance showed how far we have come as a team and as a club in the last 12 months and it augurs well for the rest of the season.”

Roughyeds return home to Bower Fold this coming Sunday, February 19, when they entertain the full-timers of London Broncos, kick-off 3pm.

Naylor’s boys deserve huge support after their two league performances against Sheffield and Featherstone where they deserved at least a draw.

ORSA are hosting a pre-match buffet and all the usual hospitality events. Enjoy soup and a tasty buffet (help yourself and eat as much as you want) for £10 if you are a season-ticket holder and £25, including main-stand seat) otherwise.
