RUGBY League fans are invited to share their memories of Oldham RLFC, Rochdale Hornets and the sport generally in the Education Suite at Gallery Oldham on Friday (March 31) between 1.30 and 3.30pm.
It’s part of a project called ‘Stories to Stage’ , funded by Rugby League Cares and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The aim is to draw on memories of fans, ex-players etc in group conversations which will then be used to craft a play telling the story of rugby league through the eyes of its local communities.
Playwright Mick Martin, who wrote ‘Broken Time’, covering the formation of the Northern Union in rugby’s great schism of 1895, will lead the scripting of this local rugby league play which will be performed in Oldham and Rochdale later in the year.
Fans or ex-players wishing to take part can attend Friday’s Gallery Oldham event or contact Trizia on 07903 300 386 or email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
