How our derby-day opponents see it

WORKING on the principle that it’s good to know how opponents are thinking — and talking — this is what Hornets boss Alan Kilshaw said of Sunday’s derby at the Crown Oil Arena in an article in the Rochdale Observer:

“Those performances (at Featherstone last week) have given me a selection headache for a game we are all looking forward to.

“Derby games are some of the best to be involved with and after tasting success in the Law Cup we are hungry for more.

“There are a number of Oldham-born players in our team and others who will be facing their former club, which sets it up to be a fiery encounter between two very good sides.

“We’re hoping for a big crowd in our only home fixture of the month so each and every Hornets supporter make sure you are there to cheer on the lads as they attempt to retain local bragging rights.”
