Rugby League -- from stories to stage

Showcasing memories of the Hornets and the Roughyeds

Rugby League Cares is launching an exciting rugby heritage theatre project in Rochdale and Oldham and we want you to be part of it.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan, a former player or long-suffering partner/relative of one — RL Cares want to hear your story.

Stories to Stage is led by writer Mick Martin, whose works include Broken Time, telling the story of the Great Split, and Trizia Wells, formerly Engagement Officer at the national Rugby League archives in Huddersfield.

We want your unique perspectives to help us shape a play that will capture the essence of Rugby League and its place in the local community — your community.

Whether you’re interested in writing, performing, taking a trip down memory lane, or just want to find out more, join us at Spotland Stadium, Willbutts Lane, Rochdale, OL11 5DR on 10th March 2017 10 a.m. to 12 midday

Where you’ll have the chance to handle original artefacts. and meet other fans If you can’t be there on the day, but would still like to be involved, please contact Trizia on 07903 300 386 or email
