What they said -- Swinton

Scott Naylor:

“It was a great win for the lads and the fans. It’s important you win your home games and we deserved it — just.

“We were the better team in the first half; they were the better team in the second half.

“I’m sure Swinton will find some wins soon. John Duffy is doing a good job with a squad that is very similar to ours.

“Our fans were amazing, again, and it good to repay those who travelled to Toulouse and those who turned up today to help us to get over the line in a derby clash and to earn some Easter bragging rights.

“A special mention for Adam Neal, who did a full 80 minutes which, for a prop, is remarkable. It shows how resilient he is, but it also shows what the team and this club mean to him.

“We just deserved to edge it so I think it was a fair result.”

Adam Neal, man of the match:

“We can play better than this, but the important thing is that we got the win. If you compare where we are at now to where we were a couple of years ago in League 1 you can see the progression we’ve made.”

Danny Langtree, Magic Moment winner:

“Swinton threatened to come back at us like they did last year at Blackpool in Summer Bash, but we held on this year and got over the line.

“That also shows how well we are progressing.”
