ROUGHYEDS wish supporters to know that the structure for Kingstone Press League 1 next season is still not known following the latest meeting of Championship and League 1 clubs.
That’s why there has been no announcement from the club yet regarding season tickets and other relevant information about the 2018 season.
A similar situation concerns next season’s home venue, about which discussions are still ongoing.
As soon as the club is in a position to do so it will inform supporters of everything they need to know about 2018 arrangements.
Up to now the club has announced that head coach Scott Naylor has signed a new two-year contract and that four senior players — Adam Neal, Phil Joy, Danny Langtree and Gareth Owen — have also been re-signed.
More signings are expected to be announced in the next few days.
Barrow won promotion to the Championship (following Toronto Wolfpack) by beating Whitehaven 10-6 in the League 1 play-off final.
Toulouse Olympique lifted the KP Championship Shield with a 44-14 win against Sheffield Eagles.
Away from the playing side, the Oldham club is looking forward to its big 20th Anniversary gala dinner at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday, November 3 when fans can spend an evening with local boxing hero and former WBA lightweight champion Anthony ‘Million Dolla’ Crolla as well as the Roughyeds players and coaching staff.
Anthony has a big fight, televised live by Sky Sports, at the Manchester Arena this coming Saturday, October 7 against Ricky Burns of Scotland.
The ‘Million Dolla’ man, from Chadderton, will be guest speaker at the dinner, which will also be attended by civic dignitaries.
