Strictly Kershaw's proves roaring success

CHRIS Hamilton and Nathan Murgatroyd did Roughyeds proud when they took part in Strictly Kershaw’s at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

The event was a huge success which raised lots of money — the final figure has still to be released — for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

Club chairman Chris and club mascot Roary (Nathan) were among six local ‘celebs’ who competed in an event which was organised on the lines of the top TV show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Chris danced with Leah McNally and Nathan with Charlotte Wild.

Andrew Donnelly, operations controller at Spectrum Brands in Failsworth, whose partner was Amy Edwards, was crowned Strictly Kershaw’s dance champion 2017.

A hospice spokeswoman said: “A massive ‘well done’ to Andrew and all the contestants. Competition was tough and scores were close.

“Thank-you to everyone involved in a spectacular event.”
