Ronseal partner with England Rugby League

The Rugby Football League is delighted to welcome Ronseal, leaders in the UK DIY market, as a new partner of England Rugby League on a four-year deal.

In their first foray into sports sponsorship, the British woodcare brand will feature on the playing shirts of England Men’s, Knights, Women’s, Wheelchair, Academy and Youth squads until the end of 2021, including the next Rugby League World Cup.

Part of Sherwin-Williams, Ronseal will occupy the lower back space of the shirts in 2018 before moving to the upper back space from 2019 onwards.

Interim Rugby Football League Chief Executive, Ralph Rimmer, said,

“Firstly, I’d like to offer a warm welcome to Ronseal as a new partner of England Rugby League and I’m delighted they’ve chosen Rugby League as their first venture into sports sponsorship.

“It’s fantastic to add such a well-recognised and trusted brand to the England portfolio and having Ronseal on board only strengthens preparations for this year’s Test in Denver, the International Series against New Zealand and further fixtures including the RLWC2021.

“We look forward to working with Ronseal for the next four years and I am certain that this long-term deal will be a great benefit for the sport and for them.”

Brian Padden, Vice President, General Manager CBG Europe for Sherwin Williams said,

“We are delighted that England Rugby League approached Ronseal with the opportunity to be the Official Partner up until the 2021 World Cup. This will be our first venture into sports partnership and England Rugby League feels like the right fit for us.

“England Rugby League’s commitment to performance, durability and integrity aligns perfectly with the core values of our brand and I am very much looking forward to seeing where this partnership will take us both over the next 4 years.”

England took on New Zealand at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, USA on Saturday, June 23, with England victorious 36 – 18 in what was a winning start to the partnership.

The two sides are also involved in a three-match International Test Series which starts on Saturday, October 27 at KCOM Stadium, Hull, with the second test at Anfield, Liverpool on Saturday, November 3 and concludes at Elland Road, Leeds on Sunday, November 11.

Tickets for all three games are on sale now at rugby-league.com and cost from £25 for adults and £12.50 for concessions. ‘Our League’ members will get £5 off all ticket categories when purchased through the Our League App or website.
