Scott names same 19-man squad

EXPECT few changes, if any, in the Oldham line-up against Newcastle Thunder at Kingston Park tomorrow (Sunday), kick-off 3pm.

Scott Naylor has named the same 19-man squad, having been impressed by the side that beat Whitehaven 20-0 at the Vestacare Stadium last Sunday.

Squad: Liam Bent, Craig Briscoe, Paul Crook, Ben Davies, David Eccleston, David Hewitt, Jack Holmes, Kyran Johnson, Phil Joy, Lee Kershaw, Danny Langtree, Zack McComb, Adam Neal, Luke Nelmes, Gareth Owen, Danny Rasool, Matt Reid, Jack Spencer, Matty Wilkinson.

Having lost three of their last four away games — at Hunslet, Keighley and Doncaster — Roughyeds will be determined to do better in the North-East, while Thunder will be keen to bounce back after a lack-lustre defeat at Keighley last week.

The Geordie boys have conceded that a top-five finish is now beyond them, but an Oldham win would take Roughyeds back to third if Workington Town go down against leaders Bradford Bulls at Odsal.

Please note that our next home game is on Sunday, September 2 when we host Coventry Bears at the Vestacare Stadium, kick-off 3pm.
