ROUGHYEDS have unveiled their new Steeden kit for 2019 and are offering fans a 20 per cent discount if replicas are ordered and paid for in advance.
The home kit sees a return to red and white hoops, always popular with supporters, and the away strip is a smart-looking chocolate brown (two shades) with yellow flashes.
Oldham believe they will be the first team ever to play in jerseys that are predominantly two shades of chocolate brown.
Club officials think both kits will be well received by fans, especially as they can take advantage of the special 20 per cent discount if ordered and paid for before the cut-off point at midnight on Friday, February 8.
This can be done online (credit or debit card) or over the counter at the club office (cheque or cash) but please note that the office is only open three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday between 10am and 3pm.
The deadline for payment by this method will be 3pm on Friday. February 8.
Like last year, replicas and other merchandise are exactly the same quality as jerseys worn by the players in the height of battle or leisure wear worn at other times.
The new stock is expected to be delivered by the start of the season proper when we play Workington Town at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday, February 17.
Replica sizes are the same as last season, ranging from extra small boys up to 6XL.
Prices as follows:
- Replica shirts, adults, £36 before February 8, £45 afterwards; children, £30 and £38.
- Hoodies, adults £36 and £45; children, £30 and £35.
- Polo (adult sizes only): £24 and £30.
Despite rising costs, prices were pegged at last year’s levels even before the special 20 per cent discount offer was introduced.
Roughyeds hope the quality of the merchandise and the prices on offer will encourage lots of fans to buy replicas so as to turn the Vestacare on match days into a sea of red and white.
Newly-designed club scarves, selling at £10.99, are due to arrive soon.
Fans who have bought season tickets, and they are still on offer, will receive a scarf as part of the deal.
APPEAL FOR GAME-DAY VOLUNTEERS
The club is inviting fans who might like to help on match-days to contact the club and offer their assistance.
We are looking for people to perform roles like selling Golden Gamble tickets or to assist in the club shop once the new merchandise has arrived in time for the start of the season proper.
For the time being we have a small supply of last season’s merchandise available from the club office, discounted by a massive 75 per cent.
Smart Fusion Jackets are not discounted and are on sale at £56, but everything else — T-shirts, hoodies, polo shirts and home and away replicas are massively reduced.
