‘Roary’s Pride’, our new junior members’ club for under-16s, will be officially launched at the Vestacare Stadium when we entertain London Skolars on March 24.
Our friendly lion mascot, welcomed wherever he goes, will play a lead role in the running of ‘Roary’s Pride’, along with lifelong fan Dave Murgatroyd, our official Oldham RLFC photographer and a member of our club’s new management board.
“I’m very excited about this. I think it’s a great idea,”
said Dave, who will work side by side with Roary to welcome members of the ‘Pride’, to run the club and to organise a number of events during the season.
Each new member will receive a unique pack which will include a Roary’s Pride cap and badge.
We will also be working with local schools to extend our ‘pride’ and to encourage new youngsters to get involved.
We are already working with pupils from Co-op Academy Failsworth who have been busy designing potential new logos for Roary’s Pride.
The winning design will be available soon.
