Shop stock offered at discounted prices

AS another thank-you, and show of appreciation, to fans for their ever-growing support this season, the club is again offering merchandise and shop stock at discounted prices for a limited period.

“We want to see as many fans as possible in club branded clothing and proud to show their allegiance to the Roughyeds,”

said club chairman Chris Hamilton.

From midnight tonight (Tuesday) fans will be able to buy online at the pre-order rates that were applicable earlier this year.

Those who prefer to buy over the counter can do so at the club’s office inside the Vestacare Stadium between 10am and 3pm (cash or cheque only) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

If you wish to make contact first either ring the club between those times and on those days on 07904 898177 or email: enquiries@roughyeds.co.uk

On offer at bargain prices will be:

Home and away replicas, (adults down from £45 to £36; children’s (up to and including extra large boys, down from £38 to £30).

Hoodies, (adults down from £45 to £36; children’s down from £35 to £30).

Polos, (adult sizes only, down from £30 to £24).

LATE LATE FLASH

Please note that due to a large take-up since we announced the latest merchandise bargains we are currently sold out of extra-large polo shirts and medium-sized home AND away replicas.

Our next two Betfred League 1 games are hugely important against sides fancied to be in the promotion mix at the end of the season — Newcastle Thunder away this Sunday,April 7 and current unbeaten leaders Hunslet at home on Good Friday, April 19 — and it would be brilliant on that occasion to see lots of fans at the Vestacare wearing their club colours.

The Bower Fold crowd of 1,247 for the Widnes Vikings cup-tie was perhaps not as many as some people would have anticipated but of the nine fourth-round ties at which attendances were announced — three weren’t — it ranked second.

There were 600 more at the Keighley-Bradford derby clash, but there were more people at Stalybridge than at Barrow Raiders, Batley Bulldogs, Dewsbury Rams, Hunslet, Sheffield Eagles, Thatto Heath and Whitehaven.

There was a large contingent from Widnes, of course, but a big thank-you to all our fans who have shown their loyalty to the club this year.

We’ll look forward to seeing some of you at Kingston Park but hopefully a lot more of you at the Vestacare Stadium on Good Friday when we go head to head with Hunslet, the early-season surprise packets of Betfred League 1.
