The funeral of the late Joyce Pilkington, one of Oldham RLFC’s longest and most loyal supporters, who died in the Royal Oldham Hospital aged 82, will be held next Tuesday, August 20 at 1.30pm at Oldham Crematorium, Hollinwood.
Joyce’s late husband Donald was chairman of the Supporters’ Club at Watersheddings for many years.
She helped him in that role but also took on many jobs in her own right for the parent club.
She was equally helpful and supportive in more recent years at the Vestacare Stadium where she sold Golden Gamble tickets and handled stand transfers until health issues arose and she handed over to her daughter Lynn.
