Five regulars who didn’t play against Coventry are included in Scott Naylor’s 19 for the “massive” game at Hunslet tomorrow (Sun), 3pm).
An Oldham win would, at the very least, secure a second-place finish in Betfred League 1 for Roughyeds, who are seeking their ninth win in ten outings.
Matty Wilkinson and Dave Hewitt were in last week’s 19 but didn’t play.
They are now joined by the addition of Ritchie Hawkyard, Zack McComb and Danny Bridge, who come in for Adam Brook, Jimmy Beckett and Jamie Greenwood.
Squad: Bent, Bridge, Crook, Davies, Hawkyard, Hewitt, Holmes, Hooley, Johnson, Joy, Kay, Langtree, Law, Leeming, McComb, Owen, Spencer, Whittell, Wilkinson.
Hunslet: Angrade, Chapman-Smith, Brown, Heckford, Lancaster, Watson, Potts, Ashton, Sanderson, Straugher, Emmett, Wright, Haley, Braham, Hawksworth, Hema, Halafihi, Nicklas, Chappell.
Adam Robinson, the former Oldham prop who led Hunslet to victory at the Vestacare Stadium last Easter, misses the big game because of a thumb injury.
Also out of coach Gary Thornton’s plans are Charlie Martin (knee injury), Jack Lee (hamstring) and two who are suspended, Dale Bloomfield and Josh Tonks.
Simon Brown and Danny Nicklas face late fitness tests but Jordan Andrade is back after suspension and Zack Braham returns after injury.
Although Robinson and Bloomfield are not included in the squad there is one ex-Oldham player, Tom Ashton, who will be up against former teammates, probably at centre.
