A reminder that 2020 season tickets will be available for collection from the club’s office inside the Vestacare Stadium at the following times this week:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 3pm.
Any problems ring the office between those times on 07904 898177.
Season-ticket sales are up on last year and to facilitate the operation and to reduce the risk of any last-minute concerns at the Widnes game at Bower Fold next Sunday, February 2 (3pm) we hope as many fans as possible will pick up their season-ticket books from the office in advance.
Widnes, who took 600 fans to watch a very young Vikings side play at Rochdale a few weeks ago, have since completed pre-season wins against Castleford Tigers and North Wales Crusaders and expect to bring a black-and-white army to Bower Fold on the opening day of the Betfred Championship season.
Coached by famous Australian team boss Tim Sheens, their major signing of the close season was Matty Smith from Catalans Dragons who will bring tremendous experience to the Widnes halves.
On the banks of the Mersey they believe he could spearhead a genuine challenge for promotion.
Other signings include Josh Johnson from Warrington Wolves, Jake Spedding (Featherstone Rovers), Deon Cross (Barrow Raiders), Logan Tomkins (Salford Red Devils), Shane Grady (Halifax), Pat Moran (Warrington Wolves), Kenny Baker (North Wales Crusaders), Connor Dwyer (Thatto Heath) and Liam Cooper (St Helens).
Oldham boss Matt Diskin, who spent the last three years in the Championship with Batley Bulldogs, is not fazed.
“On the day anybody can beat anybody in this division,”
