Brook, Aaronson back in Oldham's 21

CONFIRMATION that dual-reg duo Jack Croft and Lee Kershaw are unavailable to Matt Diskin for the Dewsbury Rams game at Bower Fold tomorrow (Sunday) comes with the announcement of the 21-man squad.

Neither is included and that’s because they have been recalled by Wakefield Trinity, who have both Academy and Reserves teams to field this weekend.

Their places in the squad are taken by half-back Adam Brook and winger Harry Aaronson.

There will obviously be enforced changes in the backs with places to fill at right centre and left wing.

In his latest ‘Captain Calling’ Roughyed Review (match-day programme) column, club captain Gareth Owen says the players are determined to put right the wrongs of the first ten minutes against Bradford Bulls last week, commenting that the players were humbled by the terrific vocal support of fans even when things were going wrong.

It isn’t every club these days that produces a programme, but we do it for the benefit of those supporters whom we know like one. The players under the spotlight this week are Dave Hewitt and, of the old boys, Steve Molloy, who was player-coach for more than two years.

You can also read the thoughts and opinions of club chairman Chris Hamilton and head coach Matt Diskin; look at our opponents Dewsbury Rams; read about what happens in our hospitality suite on game days; enjoy some cracking action shots of the players; all this as well as usual programme information like fixtures and results, player statistics, team squads etc.

For £3, the 24-page, all-colour Roughed Review will add to your game-day experience.

Hope to see you tomorrow !

Club Cash Lottery

In challenging times for businesses we are again stressing our urgent need for more financial support via the Club Cash lottery from both existing and new members.

With door-to-door collections temporarily abandoned, some have paid up front to cover a few weeks; moved to direct debit; or completed a bank transfer but the overall result has seen a drop in lottery income of nearly 50 per cent.

This trend is hitting all clubs and organisations and we have had to temporarily modify the weekly prize structure in line with the number of people taking part.

We still have a weekly first prize of £1,000 and other prizes of £100, £50 and £25 plus some £10 consolation prizes and we urgently and seriously need people to help us on this.

One way is to download a direct debit form here and follow the instructions.
