The funeral service for former Oldham winger Ian Holland will be at St Helens Crematorium next Friday, May 29 at 3pm. We understand that, due to Covid-19, only ten people will be allowed to attend.
However, anyone wishing to send condolences can send cards, messages etc to Ian’s grand-daughter Hollie-Mae Holland at 5, Holly Crescent, Rainford, St Helens, WA11 8ET.
A goalkicking winger, Ian won county RU honours before turning pro for Salford in 1973.
He signed for Oldham in January, 1974 and played at Watersheddings for the remainder of that season and the whole of the following season, 1974-75 before moving on to Swinton and ultimately to Barrow and then to Rochdale Hornets.
He spent five years at Rochdale and captained the side for a while.
