Rainbow tee-shirts still available by popular demand

OUR rainbow-coloured tee-shirts which we are selling as the club’s tribute to the wonderful work of the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic have proved so popular that we have re-opened the order book for anyone who would like to buy one this week.

Half the profits from sales will go to local NHS charities as our way of saying a heartfelt ‘thank-you’ to the wonderful and courageous job the NHS has done on the front-line during this absolutely unprecedented demands on its doctors, nurses, paramedics and thousands of others who work in support roles and who have also put their own lives at risk for the welfare of others.

Our first bulk order, of 118 tee-shirts, was not only widely supported locally (see elsewhere on this website and social media platforms), but attracted interest from many parts of the UK.

Said club chairman Chris Hamilton:

“We have had lots of messages from people who not only love the tee-shirts, but also welcome what we are doing in terms of supporting the NHS.

“Since the first wave of shirts have gone out and people have started to wear them and show them off we have had a lot more inquiries so we have made them available again until 5pm this Saturday, July 25.

“We will then put in another bulk order and we would expect them to be with us in about a couple of weeks from the order going in.”

Made of durable polyester, the tee-shirt is designed on similar lines to our 2020 home kit, but with some major differences.

Not only does it have the NHS logo prominently displayed on the front, but the white hoops on this year’s home kit have been replaced with the now familiar rainbow colours associated with the NHS.

The normal club crest on the left breast has been replaced with the new blue badge which we launched a few months ago to show our initial appreciation of the NHS and other key workers.

Price of the tee-shirt is £29 for all sizes, from small boys (and girls) all the way up to 6XL.

They can be pre-ordered via the online store from now until 5pm on Saturday.

You can opt to pay for postage or collect from the club if you’re local. As soon as they are available for collection, details will be publicised, as they were for shirts purchased in the first wave of activity.
