Send in your pics of you in your NHS shirt

DANNY B, our friend, fan, backroom staff member and our social media guru, has started a digital display of fans in their new Oldham RLFC tee-shirts which support the NHS.

If YOU have one why not take a selfie, or get somebody to take a picture of you, resplendent in your rainbow-coloured tee-shirt, and tweet it or email it through to Danny at:

A few fans have already done it and their pictures are already out on social media. Go to the club’s Twitter platform to see the images that have already been tweeted.

Follow their example and when we have an appropriate number of images, we’ll produce some sort of collage for the website and maybe send it to Gallery Oldham for the digital Lockdown Museum they’re doing as a reminder of what life was like in Oldham during the 2020 Covid-19 Lockdown.

The part played by the NHS in the battle against the virus will never be forgotten and will go down in history as the perfect example of what can be achieved when people go above and beyond the call of duty and put their own lives at risk in the service of others.

We are proud, as a club, to applaud and recognise the wonderful and courageous work of the NHS by commissioning these special tee-shirts and donating half the profits from their sale to NHS charities.

We sold 118 in little more than a week and, to be honest, we would not be at all surprised if we get more inquiries as people who have them start to get out and about in the colours of the rainbow.

Club Cash Lottery

In challenging times for businesses we are again stressing our urgent need for more financial support via the Club Cash lottery from both existing and new members.

With door-to-door collections temporarily abandoned, some have paid up front to cover a few weeks; moved to direct debit; or completed a bank transfer but the overall result has seen a drop in lottery income of nearly 50 per cent.

This trend is hitting all clubs and organisations and we have had to temporarily modify the weekly prize structure in line with the number of people taking part.

We still have a weekly first prize of £1,000 and other prizes of £100, £50 and £25 plus some £10 consolation prizes and we urgently and seriously need people to help us on this.

One way is to download a direct debit form here and follow the instructions.
