Our League membership reaches 150,000

The Our League cameras are at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium today (Thursday 24 September) for the Betfred Super League fixture between Hull Kingston Rovers and Leeds Rhinos.

Season ticket holders from both clubs will enjoy exclusive access via the Our League app – and one of them will be celebrating whatever the final score.

Rovers’ season ticket holder Paul Murphy has just become Our League’s 150,000th member and the lifelong Robins’ fan, who next week turns 50, is receiving an early birthday present as a result – two tickets to the 2021 Coral Challenge Cup Final at Wembley Stadium next summer.

Our League is the RFL’s FREE membership scheme for all things Rugby League, featuring live streamed games, prizes, full match centre and exclusive discounts.

Record numbers of fans are now playing the exclusive Our League Predictor Game, which offers members the chance to win up to £75,000 and many other prizes by predicting the outcomes of Betfred Super League matches.

RFL Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Foster, says: “We can’t promise Paul a win today, but we can promise him two seats at next year’s Coral Challenge Cup Final and I’m delighted to welcome him as our 150,000th Our League member.

“Our League this year was set to stream a record number of matches from across the sport. For obvious reasons that hasn’t happened, yet membership numbers continue to grow because of what the app has to offer in terms of experience and engagement – and live streaming of Betfred Super League fixture to season ticket holders.

“If you’re not already an Our League member, sign up today! You also start earning points in the Rewards4RugbyLeague loyalty programme and help yourself to fantastic savings on the very best events in our sport and other rewards.”

Since 2017, the Our League app has provided a digital hub for all things Rugby League. The app was a finalist in the Best Fan Engagement Programme category at the 2019 Sports Business Awards and was also shortlisted for ‘Best Fan/ Community Engagement’ at the BT Sports Industry Awards.

Subscription to Our League is free, and the app is widely available through app stores and at rugby-league.com/ourleague

Roughyeds fans who wish to sign up are asked by the club to say they support Oldham RLFC because the club then benefits directly from that allegiance.

Club Cash Lottery

In challenging times for businesses we are again stressing our urgent need for more financial support via the Club Cash lottery from both existing and new members.

With door-to-door collections temporarily abandoned, some have paid up front to cover a few weeks; moved to direct debit; or completed a bank transfer but the overall result has seen a drop in lottery income of nearly 50 per cent.

This trend is hitting all clubs and organisations and we have had to temporarily modify the weekly prize structure in line with the number of people taking part.

We still have a weekly first prize of £1,000 and other prizes of £100, £50 and £25 plus some £10 consolation prizes and we urgently and seriously need people to help us on this.

One way is to download a direct debit form here and follow the instructions.
