Rob Burrow My Year With Motor Neurone

Tune in to BBC 2 at 7pm tonight (Tuesday) to watch a special documentary in which Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow talks about his fight against motor neurone disease and tells how his rugby league career prepared him for the challenge.

The programme will now be shown at 7pm tonight (Tues) after being put back 24 hours.

In this moving documentary the former Rhinos superstar shows the same spirit in his current battle as the one that made him a rugby league star and one of the Rhinos’ all-time greats.

Among his family and friends who talk about this remarkable young man are his former Leeds teammates, Oldhamers Kevin Sinfield and Barrie McDermott.

Rob started to raise awareness for research into motor neurone disease, in which he has made regular appearances on BBC Breakfast, after meeting former Scotland RU legend and fellow sufferer Doddie Weir.

To learn all about Rob’s inspirational battle, and the role played in it by the famed ‘Rugby League Family’, tune in to BBC 2 at 7pm tonight.
