Read Brian Mac on his first three weeks here

WE’VE been beaten twice since Brian McDermott arrived as coaching consultant, but supporters — especially those who travelled to Whitehaven — will happily agree that we have improved significantly in the past three weeks.

That’s down to the former Leeds Rhinos and Toronto Wolfpack boss, who tells the inside story of how he came to be Oldham’s consultant coach, and the progress made in his first three weeks here, in his opening address to fans in Roughyed Review.

That’s our online magazine which comes out to correspond with each home game and is available now from our online shop for only £2.50.

It sets the scene for Sunday’s Bower Fold clash with London Broncos (3pm) and comprises of 24 colour pages which are packed with news, views, pictures and features.

This week’s highlights are Brian Mac’s thoughts on the job ahead — to keep us in the Championship – and chairman Chris Hamilton’s revelations of how he not only chased down the most successful coach in Super League history, but how he landed him for ’little Oldham'.

For a bargain £2.50, you’ve also got Q and A features on Luke Nelmes and former player Lee Doran, each coupled with off-field pictures from their private collections, plus Dave Naylor’s look at London Broncos and Chris Hamilton’s thoughts on the World Cup snub from Australasia.

It’s a great read for the price of a cup of coffee and you can get it at the Roughyeds online store.
