Same 21-man squad for Rams game

ROUGHYEDS have named an unchanged 21-man squad for the last game of the season at Dewsbury on Sunday (3pm kick-off).

The four in the squad who didn’t play last week were hooker Jamie Abram, centre Joe Hartley, half-back David Hewitt and prop Phil Joy.

Squad: D Abram, J Abram, Bent, Bridge, Brierley, Charnock, Dupree, Gregory, Hartley, Hewitt, Holcroft, Ince, Jinks, Joy, Kirk, Langtree, Nelmes, Owen, Reilly, Roberts, Spence.

If club captain Gareth Owen plays, it will be his last game for the club because he has already announced that he is to retire at the end of the season.

Of the 21 named, young centre Max Roberts, who scored two tries against Newcastle Thunder last week, is the only one to have started every game this season.

Other ever-presents are forwards Danny Langtree and Liam Bent, but their stats include appearances off the bench.

Dewsbury half-back Liam Finn, aged 37, is also retiring after the game. He has also played for Halifax, Wakefield Trinity, Featherstone Rovers, Castleford Tigers, Widnes Vikings and Newcastle Thunder.

Finn has played 450 career games, including 32 on the international scene for Ireland.

Ticket prizes are frozen for both adults and concessions at £10, which you can pay online or on the day, while juniors go FREE.
